We’ve got some sad news for the central Phoenix neighborhood around the Pink Spot. As of last week, the cafe and ice cream shop has closed its doors for good.
The Pink Spot opened in 2008 and served a menu of breakfast eats all day in addition to signature wraps, coffee drinks, and smoothies. The biggest draw, however, was the restaurant’s selection of ice creams, sundaes, shakes, malts, and floats.

The good news for fans of the Pink Spot’s frozen treats is that you’ll still be able to buy the ice cream in pints. Pink Spot owner Julie Kossak intends to carry the ice cream — which is sourced from local ice creamery, Karen’s Kreamery — next door at ZPizza, which she also owns.
Kossak is asking customers to keep an eye on the ZPizza Midtown Facebook page, where they’ll be posting ice cream flavors once they’re available.
The Pink Spot was known for offering unique seasonal ice cream flavors, such as the butter-flavored lobster ice cream the restaurant offered during the summer and Candy Corn ice cream available during fall.
