The Original Wineburger announced on April 11, via their Facebook page, that their beloved storefront in the Bethany Inn West, which has been open since 1965, would have to move on from that location due to the scheduled demolition of the building on August 1. Wineburger-lovers need not despair though, as the construction of a new, stand-alone Original Wineburger has been spotted on Seventh Avenue and Indian School Road. The restaurant confirmed that they plan to remain open at their current location through the end of the month, and hope to transition quickly into their new space.

Sunday, June 11, will be the last day you can enjoy a hot pie from the Pizza People Pub, which is shuttering its storefront after four years. The restaurant cited “the saturation of new restaurants in central Phoenix, a skilled labor shortage, the recent wage increase, and rising food costs” as a few of the reasons for the closure. They will be open today from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
