Following the successful release of affordable white and red wines “for the people” earlier this year, Provisioner is ready to celebrate — and offer the public the first-ever taste of a new rosé wine.
On Thursday, January 7, Arizona winemaker Eric Glomski and the rest of the Provisioner team will toast the release of their wines at MonOrchid on Roosevelt Row. From 6 to 11 p.m., gusts can enjoy a whole hog roasted by chef Bryan Nowicki of Page Springs Cellars, live music by Jed Morrison, rides on a mechanical bull, and of course, lots of wine. Tickets, which are all-inclusive and cost $25, can be purchased online.
Provisioner wines were created in order to fill the need for quality, affordable options in the Arizona wine market. Both the red and white varieties have won awards and received accolades from experts and judges since being released over the summer.
Provisioner Red is made with a blend of Merlot, Syrah, Barbera, and Pinot Noir grapes aged in 80 percent neutral and 20 percent new Hungarian Oak. It’s soft and subtle, with moderate tanins and hints of deep berries. On the other end of the spectrum, Provisioner White is made with French Colombard, Chenin Blanc, and Malvasia grapes, and aged in stainless steel. Tasting of light citrus and sweet florals, the wine is perfect for Arizona weather sipping.
