The Scottsdale Civic Plaza Mall already has a nice variety of restaurants — The Orange Table, Jewel of the Crown, AZ88, Asia de Cuba — but now there’s yet another reason to hit up the area when you’re hungry. Last week, Pure Sushi opened its doors there, too (7343 E. Scottsdale Mall). It’s the second outpost for the sleek, chic sushi spot whose original location is in north Scottsdale.
What’s especially nice is Pure South’s accessibility to sushi fans who get cravings at odd hours — open every day, the place promises to keep our sushi cravings at bay with a lunch menu available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and then dinner until 12:30 a.m. For late night drinks, the place is open ’til 2 a.m. (last call at 1:30 a.m.).
