Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?
Beer for Brains Dinner with SanTan and Rico’s
Thursday, December 1st, SanTan Brewery will be hosting their very last beer dinner of the year and it looks like they saved the best for last. Join SanTan at Rico’s American Grill at the Pointe Squaw Peak  for their Harvest Beer Dinner which will support the Beer for Brains foundation. The menu sounds awesome – creole chicken ravioli, blue point oyster shooters, house pulled mozzarella, jumbo sea scallops, beer braised short ribs, harvest pumpkin mousse – and it’s all paired with beer. Not only will you get to partake in a few of SanTan’s favorite brews, this will also be your chance to try the brewery’s latest creation, the 12 Daze Caramel Spiced Amber, and it will be the one and only time SanTan will be serving their 2011 Winter Warmer outside of their Chandler brewery. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., $59 ++ per person, reservations are required. Proceeds go toward a super-good cause! Call 602-997-5850 to RSVP.

December Detox
Holy cow! We ate so much this weekend we don’t even want to look food — that never happens. Before the December holiday party-and-eat-and-drink-you’re-face-off seasons starts, we’re going to try putting nothing but healthy eats and drinks in our bellies. We’re starting off with recipes from Girl Eats World. Click here for plenty of detox-y recipes to help keep those holiday bodies happy and the keep the “Holiday Ten” at bay.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
