We’re used to Salty Senorita as being a rowdy spot full of 20-something’s downing margaritas while munching on Tex-Mex-y food, but this Sunday, December 20, the colorful bar in Peoria welcomes families as it hosts a Santa brunch–and yes, the man himself will be there, flown in by helicopter. Way cooler than a sleigh, if you ask us.
And Santa, who will be taking gift requests, should feel right at home, as the bar brings in 8 tons of real snow. There will be more fun for the kiddies with a balloon maker.
If Southwestern’s not your cuisine of choice, the holiday breakfast buffet from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. includes items such as build-your-own omeletes, pecan-crusted French toast and waffles. You can even pair it with one of those tasty margaritas.
The all-day party includes music by Nineball, Shallow Water and Metalhead, and the Maricopa County Pet Adoption Bus will also be on-hand so you can pick out a pet to dress up in holiday sweaters. Patrons are encouraged to bring toy and stuffed animal donations to be distributed by the Peoria Police Department.
It’s free to get in and goes all day, from 10 a.m.-midnight. Santa comes at noon.
