Tomorrow night put on your fancy pants for Sassi’s James Beard House Preview Dinner in honor of the restaurant’s executive chef Peter DeRuvo, who has earned a spot as a guest chef at the James Beard House in New York. Dinner will feature a five course meal that will include wine pairings. Reservations are required and can be made online by clicking here.
Farewell Jimmy Dean
As you may already know country music singer and founder of breakfast’s favorite sausage company, Jimmy Dean, 81, passed away in his Virgina home Saturday while eating dinner and watching T.V.
Reports are not yet in as to exactly what he was eating, but we are going to assume it had sausage in it.
