Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Peaches!
Celebrate peach season at the Peach Festival this weekend at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek. Get there bright and early for the peach pancake breakfast then get your pickin’ hands ready and head out to the orchard to pick your own peaches Catch the surprise celebrity chef demo at 10 a.m. and stop by the peach sampling tent for peachy food and treats. Don’t forget to hit up the country store & bakery for a tin of fresh baked peach cinnamon rolls or a peach pie. The festival runs May 14, 15, 21 and 22 from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.

Peach Salsa
When life (or a peach festival) give you peaches — make Peach Salsa. Tender chunks of velvety fresh cut peaches mixed with mint leaves, ginger, and spicy jalapeno. Perfect on a chip or try it on a nice slab of grilled meat. Peachy!
