Seven Favorite Juice & Smoothie Bars in Metro Phoenix

Fresh pressed juices and sweet, blended smoothies are treats that can be good for your health and provide cooling relief on a muggy day or after a rough workout.

Here in the Valley, we don’t have a ton of places to grab these refreshing fruit- and veg-filled beverages but the places we do have are top notch. Check out our list of our seven favorite juice & smoothie bars across Phoenix.

Whole Foods Tempe — We rely on Whole Foods for their great beer selection and outstanding cheeses, $7 crackers, and awesome salad bar but before we start our shopping missions, we like to drop by their juice and smoothie bar for a fresh blended cup of energy courtesy of the friendly staff up front at the juice bar. Grab 24oz of organic berries blended with tart juices in one of their vegan friendly smoothies or kick off your morning with fresh pressed cucumbers, kale, apples, and spinach in a healthy green juice blend.

Thrive Acai Bowls & Smoothies — This bright Gilbert health food spot specializes in foods to promote weight loss, healthy eating, and general allover feelings of well being. The shop is the only spot in the Valley to pick up one of their unique Acai Bowls but they also make a mean set of healthy, nutrition packed smoothies. Our favorite is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie with Acai, strawberries, banana, chocolate protein, and fresh blended peanut butter (fresh blended peanut butter!). It’s a thick smoothie with so much chocolate and peanut butter it’s hard to believe it’s super good for you!

Paradise Juice — Paradise Valley’s only family owned and operated juice and smoothie cafe offers an abundance of tasty fruit and yogurt smoothies to brighten your afternoons and fresh pressed veggie juices to help alleviate bad moods and drowsy mornings. Give your afternoon a pick-me-up with a mason jar full of energizing carrot, ginger, and apples juices or, it you’re feeling a little under the weather, try the immunity boosting combination of orange, pear, pineapple, banana, and lemon juices. And if your sweet tooth is begging for attention, grab a signature Peachy Colada smoothie.

24 Carrots — Chandler’s favorite raw/vegan/gluten free/juice and smoothie cafe offers a huge selection of fresh-pressed vegetable juices and vibrant fruit smoothies out of their sleek kitchen. Jump start your morning with the Rise & Shine combo of carrot, apple, and orange juice or spice things up with the Voodoo Child packed full of veggie and fruit juices with a dash of dragon sauce for spicy kick.

Pro’s Ranch Market — One of the first things you’ll see when you enter this fiesta of a market is a line of pretty plastic jugs filled with a rainbow of colorful juices, AKA Agua Fresca. The market squeezes fresh fruits from cantaloupes to watermelon to limes and combines them with water and sugar for a beverage that is beyond refreshing. This magical drink is a summertime staple here in the desert and a definite must-have on a hot day.

Buzzberry Drive Thru Coffee & Smoothes — Half coffee shop/half smoothie bar, this stand-alone Scottsdale cafe fuses the caffeinated world with the healthy world of smoothies. The eclectic shop offers your standard coffee drinks with a side a 100% natural, “only fruit” smoothies that are so good, we’ve been known to get up extra early just to snag one. Our favorite is the Sabercat with sweet strawberries and pineapple but sometimes we get a little crazy and go for the Strawberry Banana World’s Best with a scoop of peanut butter.

Pomegranate Cafe — This Ahwatukee raw and vegan cafe has really been making a name with epic vegan desserts and mouthwatering raw eats but we like to stop by for a mason jar of organic, all natural juice. If we’re feeling blah, the Cleansing Carrot has the power to pull us out of our funk with sweet carrot juice combined with cooling cucumber and a dash of spicy ginger. The cafe also makes revitalizing 100% fruit smoothies (no fillers, no ice, and zero sugar) including the engergizing Rodrigo’s Rocket Fuel with almond butter, cocoa, banana, cinnamon, almond milk, hemp protein and a shot of espresso.
