This is the sign out front of Tammie Coe Cakes today, where the doors are wide open and you can see workers putting final touches on a renovation that’s set to be finished for tomorrow’s reopening. (Was that a hot cocoa menu I saw in there? Hmm…)
There’s going to be a new look and a new menu, although the final touches to the edible options are being hammered out by the staff as we speak. Look for breakfast, lunch, and dinner items in addition to the usual rundown of fresh breads, pastries, and Ooey Gooey Cupcakes.
I personally hope they don’t stop serving their mini-sliders, which are one of my favorite quick bites downtown. Served on fresh rolls, they make a good snack or light lunch when a whole sandwich is more than you’re up for.
