A new a build-your-own ice cream sandwich shop is headed your way, Scottsdale.
Called The Baked Bear, the made-to-order ice cream sandwich shop is expected to open in March at 7366 East Shea Boulevard, inside the the Village at Shea, just east of Scottsdale Road on Shea Boulevard.
It will be the eighth location of the San Diego-based ice cream sandwich shop, and the first located outside California. The original location opened in Pacific Beach in 2013.
Ice cream lovers can look forward to customizable ice cream sandwiches when the shop opens this spring. The menu includes more than a dozen ice cream flavors as well as more than a dozen types of cookies, including options such as regular and gluten-free chocolate chip, red velvet, cookies and cream, snicker doodle, funfetti, and white chocolate macadamia nut. You’ll also be able to top off your ice cream sandwich with hot fudge, caramel, and other toppings — or forgo the cookies altogether in favor of ice cream sandwiches made with brownies or doughnuts.
