It’s been about three months since we told you The Brickyard restaurant and bar would be opening in downtown Chandler. And if you’ve been impatiently wondering when the spot would open, we have good news: The wait is over.
The Brickyard Downtown, 85 West Boston Street in Chandler, is now open serving a menu of globally inspired small plates and cocktails. The restaurant’s tapped chef Vincent Contreras, formerly of Local Bistro in Scottsdale and Lutèce in New York, as chef de cuisine, as well as Bobby (Robert) Kramer as head bar manager. Kramer, who brings experience at Virtu in Scottsdale and Blue Hound Kitchen in downtown Phoenix to the job, was one of three local finalists in the U.S. Bartenders Guild World Class competition last year.
On the menu, look for dishes such as mini “Big Macs,” charred octopus, pork and shrimp gyoza, and Chandler street tacos to pair with cocktails including a Root Beer Flip made with Kentucky straight rye, sugar, amaro, and an egg white.

The Brickyard is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner and serves food until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant and bar also offers happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, check The Brickyard Downtown website and Facebook.
