The Herb Box, the first restaurant to open at The Colony complex on Seventh Street near Missouri Avenue, has closed.
Earlier this year, New Times reported on the restaurant bubble along Seventh Street. The Herb Box appears to be the first one to go down.
This was the third location of the local mini-chain, and according to staff at the DC Ranch location in North Scottsdale, which remains open along with the branch in Old Town Scottsdale, the glut of restaurants at the new complex – compared to the number of customers frequenting the space – added up to an unsustainable situation for them. The two Scottsdale locations continue to do well, according to staff.
