AZione at The Parlor
Every Wednesday night for the rest of the summer, The Parlor in Phoenix will be hosting their AZione (we looked it up and we’re ninety-nine percent sure it’s Italian for “share”) Dinners. Score a three course meal for two for $40 ++. This week’s prix-fix menu starts with ricotta agnolotti filled with sweet corn and heirloom tomatoes, then continues with a crispy whole Branzino (it’s a European sea bass). For dessert — a caramelized banana split. The wine of the night is the crisp ’08 Broglia Gavi di Gavi “La Meirana” for $8 a glass. No reservations needed. Just stop by and enjoy your shared meal!
Chocolate Chippers
Sometimes it seems that all we see on our daily food porn hunt is some sort of lavender-bee pollen-rose water-infused dessert. Most of the time we just want a really good chocolate chip cookie. We’ve heard that The New York Times, of all sources, has the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies. We’re pretty excited to find out. You can go ahead and check out a slightly adapted recipe here — if you make them, be sure to let us know how they turn out.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
