Football season may be winding down, but don’t worry, you’ve got something new to look forward to on Sunday evenings. Starting this week, The Upton in Scottsdale will be hosting Sunday Service, a weekly event during which the restaurant will host a family-style dinner.
To kick off the series this Sunday, January 17 from 5 to 9 p.m., The Upton will host “A Night in Casablanca “dinner featuring a guest chef and bartender.
Chef Chris McKinley — best known for his well-liked but short-lived downtown restaurant, The Local — will be joined by Counter Intuitive’s Clint Spotleson to create a Moroccan-inspired, cocktail paired dinner. The dinner will include dishes and drinks such as date and harissa lamb with wilted greens and chickpea ragout and an Old World Old Fashioned made with bourbon, cinnamon honey syrup, and pimento bitters.
The event costs $18 per person or $25 per person with cocktail pairings. An optional starter will also be available for an addition $10.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
