Three sister restaurants in Chandler — 56 East Bar & Kitchen, 98 South Wine Bar & Kitchen, and KiZake Sushi & Martinis — closed abruptly on Tuesday.
Any one of those places shutting its doors would’ve been a loss to the East Valley dining scene, but losing the trio seems like a major blow. San Marcos Square will certainly seem a little darker, as 98 South and three-month-old KiZake were both located along the burgeoning downtown Chandler restaurant row.
This economy is giving me a bad case of indigestion — or is it heartbreak? If you truly love your favorite local restaurants, now is the time to put your money where your mouth is!
