The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 9.
Yesterday we met Tom Crowley, the esteemed bartender of the Cork and Cleaver who, 32 years later, is now mixing drinks at 1889 Saloon. Today he shares with us the recipe for his favorite drink, known simply as Tom’s Drink.
“When I go out to the local watering holes, I don’t even have to ask for this anymore,” Crowley says. “They know it’s what I’m having.”
It’s a cocktail that’s easy-drinking, with delicate flavor yet appropriately boozy at the same time.
