Wetta Ventures

SkySong, The ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, continues to grow. The complex along Scottsdale Road south of McDowell Road will be adding two new tenants – New York Bagels ‘N Bialys and Bitters – to its 12,000-square-foot restaurant development from Wetta Ventures later this summer.
This will be New York Bagels ‘N Bialys’ third Valley location, with others in Tempe and Scottsdale. For those who are unfamiliar, NYBB is a breakfast and lunch spot that specializes in dishes like challah French toast, cheese blintzes, Benedicts, pastrami sandwiches, potato pancakes, and house-made desserts. The new, 3,213-square-foot NYBB will house a full bar and serve mimosas and Bloody Marys, and should be open in September.
Bitters, which will open in August, is a new craft cocktail bar and restaurant concept from Valley native and restaurant entrepreneur Erika Rode and executive chef Ehren Litzenberger, formerly of BLD in Chandler. The restaurant will offer cocktails made with fresh ingredients, seasonal plates, and a large selection of beers and wines.
SkySong’s restaurant development is currently in the process of having its 3,000-acre garden installed, but once it’s up and running (err, growing), the plan is to use the garden to curate restaurants like Bitters and NYBB.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Visit the NYBB, Bitters, or the SkySong website for more information.
