Beer lovers, mark your calendars for Saturday, September 10, because you’re not going to want to miss the five-hour walking tour and beer-tasting mashup known as the 2016 Urban Ale Trail.
You’ve heard of – maybe even kind of remember attending – spring’s Urban Wine Walk festivities. Well, the Urban Ale Trail is a lateral event also hosted by Downtown Phoenix Inc. From 1 to 6 p.m., participants can migrate from stop to stop for four-ounce beer samples priced between $1 and $2 each, along with small, complimentary bar snacks while supplies last.
The trail follows the light-rail corridor from downtown Phoenix to the Roosevelt Arts District, and through to Uptown Phoenix. Downtown spots include The Arrogant Butcher, the Duce, Gypsy Bar, and Zpizza, while Roosevelt Row spots include Carly’s Bistro, Phoenix Public Market Cafe, and the Vig Fillmore. Uptown Phoenix stops include Southern Rail and the First Draft Book Bar inside Changing Hands — and more stops will be announced as we get closer to the event.
As an added bonus, the first 300 people to hit the District American Kitchen and Wine Bar before the walk will receive a free commemorative growler.
