Ready to pig out, Sunnyslope?
Waldo’s BBQ, the 20-year-old company started by pig farmer and Snowflake resident Clay Caldwell, has opened its third location at 9706 North Seventh Street (Mountain View Road and Seventh Street), in the former home of Vaqueroscarne Asada.
Called Pig-N-Out, the newest Waldo’s will have something its other two locations (in Mesa and Lake Havasu) do not: a drive-through for ‘cue.

Barbecue fans at Pig-N-Out can expect pork, brisket, chicken, and hot link sandwiches ($3-$4) as well as burritos ($2-$3) and side dishes like potato salad, cole slaw, and cowboy beans ($1).
And for those who really want to load up, Pig-N-Out also sells its meat by the pound — and in buckets.
In addition to the new Pig-N-Out in Sunnyslope, Waldo’s BBQ has locations in Mesa and Lake Havasu. The company previously operated restaurants in Gilbert and Show Low but shuttered them in 2011.
