Fans of Wally’s American Pub ‘n Grille in Scottsdale will notice some changes next week. Now known as Wally’s American Gastropub, the restaurant has been sold to Christopher Collins (son of original owner Wally Collins) and will debut a new look and menu on Monday, September 26.
Collins says the new Wally’s will retain “all your longtime Wally’s favorites” including daily soup specials, S’Macs (skillet mac and cheese), Classic Meatloaf, and the Root’s Baby Back Ribs. New additions to the menu will include house-made pastas, shareable starters, and Evening Entrées available after 5 p.m.
The restaurant also will offer an expanded selection of craft beer, wine, and cocktails.
The original Wally’s American Pub ‘n Grille in Phoenix, which is located on the northeast corner of 44th Street and Camelback Road, will continue to be operated independently by Wally Collins. Wally’s American Pub ‘n Grille, however, will join Christopher Collins’ three other restaurants under the Common Ground Culinary company name. Collins also owns Grassroots Kitchen & Tap in Phoenix and Scottsdale and Twisted Grove Parlor + Bar in Scottsdale. The chef/owner expects to add a gourmet ice cream shop to the Common Ground Culinary lineup later this year.
