According to the shop’s website, Wedge & Bottle, a locally-owned cheese and wine store in south Phoenix, will close its doors at the end of the month. For years the Ahwatukee market has been a destination for wine and cheese lovers and those seeking high quality cured meats, but the store’s last day in business will be on Tuesday, June 30.
The post on the store’s website reads in part:
We are extremely sorry to inform you that we are closing our doors at the end of this month. Every summer has been difficult for us to get through and starting this one with a bad spring was enough to force us into closing. It has been a wonderful experience sharing our cheese love with you and we are forever grateful for your love and support of our little shop.
It goes on to say that the all remaining inventory will be sold for 25 percent off.

Owners Troy and Krista Daily opened Wedge & Bottle in May 2011 and sold wine, cheese, beer, and other products in addition to offering a small menu of sandwiches, small bites, and charcuterie plates.
