With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, plenty of spots around the Valley are gearing up to celebrate with Irish whiskey, corned beef and cabbage, green beers, bagels and even stacks of pancakes.

Since this year’s St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday, many of the festivities are taking place this weekend. Those looking to start the party early or stick to weekend options have plenty of places to choose from. And for committed revelers going out on March 17, we’ve got you covered there as well.

Miracle Mile Deli is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day longer than a lot of other restaurants. During the festive season, guests can enjoy platters with corned beef with cabbage, potatoes and bread and butter for $20. Mint chocolate chip shakes are $6, a four-tiered slice of carrot cake is $8.50, and $6 green and white cookies will also be served.

Wear green to get $1 off green beer on Saturday and Sunday at Greenwood Brewing in downtown Phoenix. This woman-owned taproom has a dog-friendly outdoor patio and will be party central for St. Patty’s weekend. Greenwood’s festive green beer gets tapped Friday and is available while supplies last. Greenwood will also have live music on Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Reserving tickets ahead of time is recommended and admission is free.

Get started early on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the recently renovated Esplanade. The St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl will include a Celtic band called the Lucky Charms, a fortune teller, a caricature artist and a typewriter poet. Hearsay, The Mercer, Flint and Camello restaurants will be serving food and drinks, including whiskey tastings and themed dishes. Check out Eventbrite for more details and to reserve a $20 ticket. Pints of Guinness will be on special for $5. And end your meal on a sweet note with the Lucky Irish Shake, made with vanilla ice cream and mint with whipped cream on top.

Food specials will include shepherd’s pie fries and corned beef-topped fries. This 21+ event is outdoors, but not dog-friendly.

This St. Patrick’s Day, Foley Ranch is dishing up Irish-themed food and drink specials. For $15, enjoy shepherd’s pie made with 12-hour pecan-smoked, chopped brisket, dressed in a thick gravy with peas and carrots, and topped with a layer of melted cheddar mashed potatoes. Some of the drink specials on tap include the Irish Honey Mule for $6, featuring Tullamore Honey Irish Whiskey. The Smoked Irish Old Fashioned will be $8 and Guinness will be on special for $6.

On Tuesday, San Tan Brewery is partying in Chandler from 9 a.m. until midnight for St. Patrick’s Day. Drink specials include CaraMellow Bombs made with salted caramel whiskey and Sweet Green Tea shots featuring peach bourbon.
