As long as people keep making cupcakes this damn adorable, I will always be interested.
Sure, there’s plenty of cupcake fatigue as far as food trends go. Cupcakes have beyond jumped the shark. They’ve been done to death.
Who cares? Creative pastry chefs are still using the tiny confections as blank canvases for all sorts of expressive toppings. Other desserts like brownies or pie don’t lend themselves to customization the way cupcakes do. The possibilities really do seem endless, and I don’t see our collective cupcake obsession disappearing anytime soon as long as people are making this kind of edible art.
Just look at Animal. How can you not love that?
