The Caramelpalooza countdown has begun. Less than two weeks til the big night, Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at Smeeks candy shop.
Later today we’ll introduce you to the first of our 17 (count ’em!) caramel makers — who will be bringing their best candy/sauce/paleta/ice cream/who knows what game to Chow Bella and Smeeks’ third annual caramel tasting.
If you’ve come in the past, you know you’ll want to show up early to get your sugar fix. Or you could enter the first of several contests we’re holding where we’ll be giving away tickets for you and a friend to get a spot in the front of the line.
For this first contest, you’ll need to get creative. Write a haiku about caramel and leave it in the comments section, along with an email address where we can reach you if we choose yours as the winner. (If you are shy, email your entry/address to amy.silverman@newtimes.com.)
