Can there be too much of a good thing? Not at Jimmy & Joe’s. Their New York-style “serious slices” must be seen to be believed. Even one piece of a piping hot pie requires its own metal pan and comes with a pizza cutter to trim it down as you eat.

Showing 67 - 88 of 177It may be a student-run cafe, but it’s from the talented chefs-in-training at the renowned Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Service can be a challenge (learning curve and all), but the food is usually topnotch, and prices can’t be beat (roast leg of lamb for $8.95). The menu is short but imaginative, with a selection of soups, […]
It’s rather fitting that the name of this cozy pizzeria and wine bar roughly translates to “the mouth” in Italian, as yours will certainly be put to good use when visiting. Its list of vino favors exotic reds from around the world, allowing one to be whisked away to the vineyards of Argentina for some […]
One of the closest things we have to a real New York café, except that the owners are friendly. The concept is order-at-the-counter casual, but the food is first-rate. Go for the tremendous meatballs, huge pizzas, excellent pastas, tasty heroes and fancier fare like veal scaloppine, chicken Francese and shrimp scampi. Read our review.
Designer pizza? Oh, yeah. Ingredients are primo – sourdough crust fermented overnight, organic produce delivered daily from the Valley’s Victory Farms, homemade sausage, and exotic combinations like goat cheese, roasted corn, tomato, and fresh basil leaves.

Pilato doesn’t quite adhere to the strict Neapolitan pizza standard, preferring instead to combine some of its techniques with his own style. The result […]

Their trademark, authentic New Jersey pizza can be had by the slice or by the pie, and at […]
It’s no wonder this humble neighborhood hangout has fans from well beyond the vicinity – the made-from-scratch Italian specialties are delish, the atmosphere’s comfy, and the prices can’t be beat. The luscious white pizza alone is worth a trip, while homemade pastas, doughy garlic knots, and addicting cannoli are a few other reasons to stop […]
