Francine

Francine brings a different kind of French restaurant to downtown Scottsdale — one focused on vegetable-forward cooking of the Riviera. Owner Laurent Halasz channels memories of growing up in the region and his mother’s bright cooking. The restaurant’s dishes are a union of this and the vision of chef Brian Archibald. Under the high ceilings and soft pastels of the dining room, a wood fire burns, source of breads, pizzas, and roasted vegetables. Many of the touches, like pizza and pasta, travel beyond Halasz’s homeland. Much of the menu leans classically French. The best dishes, like ravioli and octopus, depart from tradition and embrace sunny flavors.
