Owner Jamie Hormel’s Old Town Scottsdale bottle shop makes sipping a fine vintage a bit more accessible. The well-appointed store is stocked with over 700 labels. There are recognizable and rare bottles that range from $15 to $15,000, neatly organized on sandy wood shelves. The staff at the curved bar will help with your selection and will pour you a glass or a flight, and regularly host classes that make the world of wine less mystifying. Sample the meaty Spanish olives or crispy potatoes with romesco sauce with your sip. Since opening in March, the charming space has already attracted a devoted set of regulars. That newness also makes it feel like a hidden gem that’s yet to be discovered.
