Rebel Wine Lounge
After taking in some art in downtown Mesa, we popped into this Main Street wine bar for an afternoon glass or two — a nice option at 3:30 p.m. Grabbing a table near a window in the airy, modern and elegant space, we could still watch the action on the streets. These folks are serious about wine, offering a hearty selection that they were happy to discuss. What hooked us were the wine pairing flights. There are four options for white and red flights. A white paired with salt and vinegar kettle chips went down with ease, and the red flight teamed with dark chocolate pretzels left us in a lip-smacking stupor. Snacks, salads and flatbreads are on the menu, as well as a weekend brunch.
