After more than a decade in business and six Great American Beer Festival medals, Saddle Mountain Brewing Co. somehow still manages to fly under the radar. It shouldn’t. The brewpub crafts one of the state’s most-awarded and quaffable beers: Clan-Destine Scottish Ale. The beer is malty and sweet but balanced by a light note of hops. The Goodyear brewery also crafts Hop Snob, a West Coast IPA that will satisfy the craft beer snob in your life, and the crushable fruited golden ale Strawberry Bitch. Saddle Mountain features a full-service bar and a scratch kitchen that serves elevated pub grub. That’s good news, because once you try one pour from Saddle Mountain, you’re going to want to taste more of their exceptional brews. The brewpub also has to-go cans you can savor at home.
