God bless the United Kingdom and all the influential DJs, turntablists, beatmakers, and other EDM artists it's produced over the decades (Paul Oakenfold, Goldie, Photek, et al.). Our current faves are West London duo DRT and Kidnappa (a.k.a. 16bit), who've been spread their frenetically infectious dubstep mixes all over the world. The pair visits the Valley on Thursday, January 21, for UK Thursdays at Cherry Lounge, 411 South Mill Avenue in Tempe. A cadre of local cats will also mix dubstep with a chaser of glitch, including residents HavocNdeeD and Amen Ra, as well as guests Ill-Legal?, Louder, and Josh Swissman. Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission is $7 before 11, $10 afterwards. Call www.myspace.com/ukthursdays.
