Brace yourself, music fans: the festival season in the Valley is about to kick into high gear. Multi-day music events will be legion across the metro Phoenix over the next few weeks while the weather is tolerable. And that means high-profile recording artists coming to town and causing locals to flock to outdoor venues.

You can count the Wild West Music Fest in Maricopa among these outings. Yes, the sleepy bedroom community located on the far outskirts of the Valley has a music festival these days.

The three-day outdoor event, which launched in 2023, will take place from Friday, April 4, to Sunday, April 6, at Copper Sky Regional Park (44345 W. Bowlin Rd.) in Maricopa. And now we know who will headline its 2025 edition.

This week, Wild West Music Fest promoters announced rap and reggae artist Sean Kingston will perform on April 4, while multiplatinum country vocalist LeAnn Rimes will headline the festival on April 5.

Kingston is best known for his chart-topping 2007 single “Beautiful Girls,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He also scored other hits, including 2009’s “Face Drop” and “Feel It.” In recent years, he has released well-received albums—most notably 2022’s “Deliverance”—and co-produced Chris Brown’s 2023 album "11:11," which won a Grammy earlier this month.

Rimes has had her own share of Grammy success, winning Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1997. A prolific recording artist, she has released 17 studio albums since breaking through as a teen performer in the mid-'90s and charted more than a dozen country hits, including 1996’s “Something’s Gotta Give” and 1997’s “How Do I Live?”
