Austin, Texas based-band The Meat Puppets (How much do you old Mill types hate seeing that? But that's how they bill themselves!) have a new album, Sewn Together, coming out next month and will tour extensively in support of it, playing everywhere in the continental United States. Well, everywhere except Arizona.
That's a bit of an exaggeration, of course, but the AUSTIN, TEXAS band (who may have some small connection to Arizona) recorded at The Saltmine in Phoenix this winter but, so far, is not bringing that material here.
What to expect? Band leader (and proud Texan) Curt Kirkwood: "Now, if I can get away with it, I'll make a record as cheap as I can and put as little work as I can into it, which is what we did with this one. I don't like putting a lot time into it. We cut a track, and if we've played it halfway right, we're done with it."
