$10,000

With all the Scottsdale nightspots that have closed for business in the previous 12 months (SIX, Pink Taco, Mickey’s, etc.), it’s kinda unique to pimp a place that’s managed to survive the triple threat of economic upheaval, tougher DUI laws, and the ever-fickle whims of clubgoers and scenesters. The folks down at Axis/Radius, 7340 East Indian Plaza in Scottsdale, have been able to survive the tough times and will celebrate the club’s 12th anniversary in style on Friday, November 20, with a fantastic fete. DJ J. Alan will be on the decks spinning up Top 40, house, and mash-ups all evening long with a few special guests backing him up. And even thought it’s A/R’s birthday, you’ll be the one getting the gifts. There will be an open bar until 10:30 p.m., so be sure to show up early hard drinkers. Doors open at 9 p.m. Call 602-386-9945 or visit www.axis-radius.com.
