Hope Modified Arts’ soundguy is ready: Bad Veins play the downtown venue Monday, August 31.

The Cincinnati duo does an intricately-layered brand of indie rock you’d expect a band to par down significantly live. They use a third member to avoid that, instead aiming for precision, which should make for a challenging night for whoever is behind the board. Benjamin Davis’ Casablancasesque vocals make the band sound a lot like The National, who are also from Cinci, so if you like The National you’ll almost certainly dig this band.

Following their gig at Modified Bad Veins teams up with Division Day in San Diego for a national tour.
