San Francisco mixmaster extraordinaire Lorin Ashton, a.k.a. Bassnectar, has spent the past decade in the Bay Area’s underground scene amassing a legion of fans who dig his exotic sonic concoctions, which blend thickly warbling bass lines, spastic techno glitchery, and throbbing breakbeats with generous dollops of funk, hip-hop, and freestyle sounds. And now the shabby-chic San Franciscan — who’s graced the pages of such mags as URB and BPM, as well as remixing such musical moguls as KRS One, Buckethead, The String Cheese Incident, and Perry Farrell — has hit the road in support of his latest disc, Underground Communication, and will be making pulses pump and nightclubs jump across the nation, including the Goat Head Saloon, 1423 South Country Club Road in Mesa, where he’ll visit on Friday, June 15. Local turntablist DJ Seduce is also on the bill. Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission is $10. Call 480-464-8030.
