Phoenix New Times annual Big Brains contest is back.
The contest is designed to reward and nurture up-and-coming talent in the Valley by giving ground-floor movers and/or shakers a grand.
Straight cash, homie.
There are categories for design/fashion, visual art, performing art, film/video, culinary art and a wild card so if you know a great young chef or videographer feel free to nominate them here.
However, this is the music blog so we’re especially interested in encouraging you to nominate someone musically-inclined.
Even people who don’t ultimately win can get a nice little bump as finalists will be profiled online and in the paper April 7, and winners will be announced Saturday, April 9, at Phoenix New Times’ Artopia, an evening of art, food, fashion, drinks and music.
Again, you make those nominations here.

This year, make your gift count –
Invest in local news that matters.

Our work is funded by readers like you who make voluntary gifts because they value our work and want to see it continue. Make a contribution today to help us reach our $30,000 goal!

$30,000
