Get ready to rock like it's 1985, Phoenix. Billy Idol and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts are teaming up for a tour that promises to be more legendary than the crispest leather jacket ever.
The cleverly-titled It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! outing kicks off on April 30 at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre. From there, two of rock’s most iconic rebels will hit the road in the summer and fall for an explosive tour of high-octane performances, anthemic hits and the raw energy that can only truly emanate from rock royalty.
It’s an opportunity to witness two of rock's most influential forces in one show. From Jett’s gritty, powerful vocals to Idol's signature sneer and infectious hooks, the show will be a non-stop celebration of punk’s pure rebellious spirit.
Even better? The tour delivers beyond the on-stage magic and antics by providing relief aid for the recent California fires. A portion of the proceeds from Idols’ upcoming show in Inglewood, Calif. on Sep. 25 will go to help support families and first responders of the disaster.
Tickets for the Phoenix show go on sale Friday, Jan. 24 at billyidol.net/tour/.
