After a long run at Boston’s/P.I., the Valley’s preeminent hip-hop night, Blunt Club, has made a temporary move to the Rio Salado Brewery on Mill Avenue in Tempe until it finds a permanent home. On Thursday, February 3, stop by to see your usual favorites: open mic sessions early in the evening, then, with MC Emerg McVay hosting, the triumvirate of DJs Element, Tricky T, and Hyder, with their entourage of b-boys and b-girls. This time ’round, there are also featured guests: Soundsystem Mash Hall, Jelts, and Smoothavich. The event runs you a mere $3, bumping from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., with only the 21-and-over crowd allowed in. Don’t miss this next incarnation of the Blunt Club, the long-running standard for hip-hop nights in the ‘Nix.
