Phoenix indie duo Broken Poets will play Last Exit Friday with Shawn Johnson and Joe Myers. The band has been working on a “new sound and presentation,” says frontman Tom McDonald and seems to have settled on a slow, moody sound built around McDonald’s deep voice and Lana Antropova’s delicate keys for their newest record, Everything In Nature, which came out last year.
