Bush, the band whose record “Sixteen Stone” was released in 1994 and which dropped radio-dominating hits like “Machinehead” and “Everything Zen,” is about to release a 10th studio album and spend the next few months on the summer leg of its North American tour.
You’ll see Gavin Rossdale (vocals, guitar) and crew, Chris Traynor (guitar), Corey Britz (bass), and Nik Hughes (drums) in Phoenix on August 2 at PHX Arena. Bush will be opening for Shinedown.
The new record, “I Beat Loneliness,” will be released on July 18. Rossdale co-produced it with Erik Ron, who has worked with bands like Panic! at the Disco. In a statement about the tour and record, the band hopes the new collection of songs is a “cathartic reminder of that strength that comes from speaking your truth.”
As part of the album art, BUSH is including numbers to helplines for anyone struggling with suicidal ideation, as well as partnering with the app Weconnect, which seeks to provide real-world support for mental, behavioral health, and substance abuse issues.
