Birthday boy William Fucking Reed’s gonna party like its 1999 at the Hotel San Carlos tonight.
Local DJ impresario/über-scenester extraordinaire William Fucking Reed turns 31 years old tonight, and the dude’s celebrating in grand style at his weekly “Adult Swim” pool party that goes down every Sunday afternoon at the Hotel San Carlos, 202 North Central Avenue, in downtown Phoenix.
Dubbed as the “Forever Young Birthday Massive,” the afternoon-into-evening affair features performances by L.A. indie bands Ultraviolet Sound and Electric Valentine, as well as a slew of local and visiting turntablists. The spinster lineup includes DJs Mykill, Ian Frost, Benjamin Cutswell, Jared Alan, Pablo Gomez, Funkfinger, El Pescado, and Kid Vicious.
The shindig starts at 1 p.m. and runs until “late.” Don’t forget your water wings.
