The world still has a David Bowie-sized hole that can’t be filled since his death on January 10, 2016.

A rock ‘n’ roll legend, we can still celebrate the man and the musical magic he spent decades creating. Celebrating David Bowie is a global celebration marking 10 years. A handful of 2026 shows have been announced. The short tour kicks off on Sunday, February 15, at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix.

At this show, the band members include Jesse Hughes from Eagles of Death Metal, Angelo Moore from Fishbone, Alex Greenwald from Phantom Planet and Scrote from Baby Snufkin. All the tour’s lineups are subject to change and could also include special guests.

The first time this event happened, it was the February following Bowie’s death at the Roxy in Los Angeles. It featured more than 70 musicians who paid tribute to Bowie’s music for more than 4 hours.

Musician and music director Angelo Bundini, who goes by Scrote, says the event was “emotional, beautiful and cathartic.” He saw the impact it had and how people in other cities wanted to replicate the show. “That’s when I knew I had to give this some serious thought,” he said in a statement about this new mini-tour.

Over the years, Scrote has performed with many artists who worked with Bowie, including several of the late icon’s bandmates. It’s helped him build this program. “It gives me a very unique insight into how Bowie thought about performing this music and about Bowie himself,” he says.

Between then and now, this Bowie tribute has gone international, spanning 17 countries and five continents, with a variety of musicians participating. Featured guests over the years have included Sting, Gary Oldman, Seal, Simon Le Bon, Ewan McGregor, and Todd Rundgren.

Be prepared for a lengthy show. Yes, some have gone up to 4 hours, but on this go-around, organizers say they’re shooting for a 2-hour night. Once you’re ears-deep in Bowie’s massive catalog, time probably won’t be a concern.

After Phoenix, the tour continues on Monday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, with participating musicians from Devo, Eagles of Death Metal, Fishbone, Phantom Planet, MC5, Lady Blackbird and Scrote, among others. The run concludes Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, again featuring members of Devo, Eagles of Death Metal, Fishbone, Phantom Planet, MC5, Lady Blackbird and Scrote, with additional appearances expected.
