The band from Illinois took off in the late '70s with its blend of hard rock and power-pop, loaded with unforgettable riffs and catchy melodies. They started dropping hits like "Dream Police," "I Want You to Want Me," and "Surrender," which became timeless classics that are just as captivating and catchy today.
Those who missed them on that first wave had another chance in the '80s, when their ballad "The Flame" dominated radio, alongside similar, sappy tracks released by rockers like Cinderella and Poison, building on their fanbase.
Topping off a nonstop career, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
Pro tip if you go: Stand close to and in front of Rick Nielsen, and you might catch one of the hundreds of guitar picks he tosses out at every show.
