Childish Gambino officially is coming to Gila River Arena in Glendale.

Gambino is the musical alter ego of actor, writer, and producer Donald Glover, and he's scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 5, with Vince Staples as the opening act.

The second season of Glover's critically acclaimed television show, Atlanta, is currently airing on FX. And he plays Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story. Glover's also set to star in the live-action remake of The Lion King for Disney.

Gambino and Staples previously collaborated on a song, “Waiting For My Moment,” for the Creed soundtrack.

This will be Gambino’s first appearance in Arizona since 2014, when he performed at Marquee Theatre in Tempe. He and Staples will begin the U.S. leg of their tour on September 6 in Atlanta and conclude on October 12 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, May 4, through Ticketmaster.
