Legendary singer/songwriter Daniel Johnston is coming to Crescent Ballroom on Sunday, November 11.

The mythic outsider artist and inspiration to Kurt Cobain (who famously wore a Johnston shirt), Beck, Bright Eyes, The Flaming Lips, more (see the tribute album The Late Great Daniel Johnston: Discovered and Covered) was the subject of Jeff Feuerzeig's 2005 documentary The Devil in Daniel Johnston, which chronicled the songwriter's troubled life and careful return to performing.

Nothing screams "80s nostalgia" like The Psychedelic Furs. The post-punk/ New Wave band is headed to the Valley on Thursday, September 27 at at Ovations! Live Show Room at Wild Horse Pass Casino, hopefully bringing classic hits like "Pretty in Pink" and "Heartbreak Beat" with them. (With original members Richard and Tim Butler in tow.)
