The place made a splash when it opened last summer, offering a flashy interactive LED dance floor that was like something out of Saturday Night Fever. Dubstep found a home there every Thursday when the cats from Subversion brought in major names like Jakwob and (most recently) 12th Planet.
It also hosted local turntablist bigwigs like M2, who recently moved hip-hop night Pure Saturdays to the place.
If Disco is indeed done, it’s the second nightclub to go kaput at the two-story Civic Center Plaza property in the last 18 months, as Whisper Lounge came and went in what seemed like the span of a few weeks.
