Joel Davis has had one helluva packed schedule. Up until recently, the 21-year-old Phoenician was holding down two Joe jobs (slaving away behind the scenes at Stinkweeds Records and behind the front desk at the Clarendon Hotel) as well as working his regular gigs as the Thursday-night resident at Chronic Tacos in Tempe and as the official DJ for Valley electro-hop group Silver Medallion. Plus, he also regularly drops by such weeklies as Solstice at Bar Smith and Homme’s Party Foul! Night — all while managing to maintain a relationship. In the scant few hours he isn’t sleeping or working on the cure for cancer, Davis (who also goes by the moniker Epidemic) has been crafting his recently released mixtape It’s Dirty Work . . ., which is available via his MySpace page (www.myspace.com/thedjepidemic). He’s marking the occasion with a special fete and spin session at Party Foul! on Friday, October 16, at Homme, 138 West Camelback Road, which will also feature appearances by such PF! residents as Bigie and Craig Citizen. The mixmaster madness starts at 9 p.m. with a $5 cover after 11. Call 602-234-3023.
