Markus Schulz has a big standing (and an even bigger reputation) among local DJs, so it's only fitting that his homecoming this weekend be equally as supersized.

The German-born trance specialist, who spent the formative years of his career in Phoenix, is returning to the Valley tomorrow night for a special three-hour DJ set at The Venue Scottsdale

Old Town was a major stomping ground back for Schulz in the '90s, as he held a seven-year residency at notorious nightspot The Works and hosted "The Edge Factor" weekly EDM show on KEDJ (now X-103.9) back when the station was located in Scottsdale. Epic three-hour sets are nothing new to the 36-year-old, as he regularly pulls marathon spin sessions in such Las Vegas clubs as Marquee.

The Valley's Turner and Heit will open the 18-and-over show along with DJ Lujan and the duo of Razza and Malisz. Doors open at 8 p.m. Click here for tickets.

Schulz has had a stacked schedule as of late. After Scottsdale, he's headed to the Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando before embarking on a journey to South America to perform in Rio and then jetting across the pond for dates in the U.K. Oh yeah, and he's also been working on a new remix album, too.
