Domo Genesis of Odd Future, Akron/Family, Murs, and More in This Week's Issue

Did you know that Odd Future's designated stoner Domo Genesis was an Arizona State student up until a few weeks before the group's big coming out party at South By Southwest? Few people knew until they check out this week's music feature, where New Times contributor Chris Piel caught up with Genesis as he smoked a joint and played Madden on what would be his last day at ASU before going back to LA to enter the rap game full-time.

Also in this week's issue, Michael Lopez discusses Akron/Family's recording habits, a throwback to the good old days when every band had some over-the-top backstory to the recording of a classic album.

We've also got short show previews for Murs, Brendan James, Joe Louis Walker, and Carnifex.
